Alice Liveing x Primark Collection Review

I spend the majority of my time in workout leggings so I am always on the hunt for leggings that are squat proof and won't cost me a small fortune.

Listen, if companies expect me to spend £50+ on leggings they better give me a new squat PB of at least 10kg, ok?

I have to admit that before today I had never heard of Alice Liveing but a quick google search showed me that she is a very popular personal trainer, fitness instagrammer with 618k followers and her own cookbooks.

I bought two pairs of leggings from the Alice Liveing X Primark collection and each pair cost £8.

I took both pairs for a test-run at the gym tonight - I felt like Beyonce with my outfit changes!

Seamfree Mesh Leggings - Khaki £8

These come in three sizes small (6-8), medium(10-12) and large(14-16). I bought size Medium.

These are meant to be 'waist-shaping leggings' and putting them on felt like trying to get on a pair of Spanx but once they are on they're quite comfortable and not see through (w00-hoo). They're very form-fitting and I think that they made my quads look pretty damn good.

They do fall down a little during box jumps which is annoying but easy to re-adjust.

During sled-runs they were falling down much faster and there was nearly a full moon in the studio!

Wearing these outside in -4 weather isn't the smartest idea either but they're good for indoor workouts as they are very breathable.

I'm going to wear these when I do the Day 6 - Kindle of True Yoga with Adriene tonight and hopefully they're better suited for that!

AOP Camo Smudge leggings - £8

For my second look of the evening I changed into the Campo Smudge leggings which I bought in a size 12. They fit well and as usual with leggings I have to wear them quite high up on my waist for them to sit at my ankles (I am 5ft 3" for reference).

These are a little bit see-through but with light coloured pants this isn't a big issue or do you boo and wear whatever colour pants you want!

These passed the box-jump test and the sled run test. No full-moon with these bad boys!

The whole collection consists of 42-peices and is all very reasonably priced. For £8 these leggings are good value for money. I would recommend the Camo Smudge leggings for weight-lifting and higher impact exercises and the Mesh leggings for lower impact exercises. I'm going to wear the mesh leggings during yoga tonight and hopefully they stay up!

I hope this review helps let me know if you try anything from the collection!

Have a fab day,

The Zen Grappler x
